Do I need to even mention what this is? If you really don’t know what google adsense is, then you must have been living in a cave during the past 5 years.

Adsense is an ad serving program run by Google. Websites & blogs owners can enroll in this network to enable text, image and, (added recently), video advertisements on their sites. These ads are administered by Google and they generate revenue based on either a per-click or per-thousand-impressions. Adsense is widely considered the no. 1 revenue source for bloggers and webmasters in general. Upto this date, no other network offered such high payperclick/impression rates.

2- Hubpages

Hubpages is no doubt the most effective adsense income booster. The service is not so new, but alot of webmasters tested it, including me, and reported very positive results. Hubpages is a site that uses a very effective system to make more money online with adsense. You can easily make a coupla thousands or more within few months from hubpage alone, if you are being active and have some referrals below you.


In order to make money with hubpages, you need an adsense account. Then you have to follow the following steps:

- You register with hubpages and link it to your google adsense account. (other networks can be added too, which include amazon, ebay and analytics).

- After you are signed up, you will be able to submit any article you want to share with people. Your own adsense ads will be displayed around the article 50% of the time and you then make money when they are clicked.

Hubpages gives you three main advantages: Your articles are being exposed to 1000’s of people , and so you make good money from that. You also get website traffic from there, along with a good no. of backlinks.

3- Kontera

Kontera ContentLink allows you to make money from their contextual ads, but in a little different way. Their robots read your post and turn certain words into an ad. The ads (highlighted words) are double underlined and an ad box pops up with more description, when your cursor hovers over it.

Kontera has a certain no. of rules when it comes to accepting your site, usually revolving around quality of your site, and the no. of traffic per month. You can check them out to see if your site/blog meets with their requirements.

ReviewMe is where most of the top bloggers make their most amount of income from. The site works the same as PPP. ReviewMe allows advertisers to buy sponsored reviews on your blog. The prices are based on your blog’s Alexa, Technorati and estimated RSS numbers. Bloggers/Publishers can set their own pricing if they don’t like the price ReviewMe set.

Reviews can be either positive or negative. Their only requirement is that the post must be at least 200 words long. Also if you are a new blogger, it maybe a little tough to get your blog accepted with them, because they set the bar (requirements) a little bit higher than other sites like PPP.

5- Text-Link-Ads

Textlinkads is one of the top monetizing resources for bloggers. I’m sure alot of you have heard of this site. Many bloggers are making money through their blogs by selling text-link-ads links on them. This is a well reputed site that can really bring you results. You can either be a publisher or an advertiser. They also give away $100 in FREE links to new advertisers.

As a publisher, your link price is set by Text Link Ads and is based on some factors like Alexa, Google PageRank, number of RSS subscribers…. etc. Links are displayed at your sidebars, and you can choose to approve or deny any Text Link Ads sold prior to the links being published on your website.

6- Pay Per Post

Also one of the top widely used sites. PayPerPost (PPP) is a website which helps content creators such as bloggers, podcasters, videographers and photographers find advertisers who are willing to sponsor their specific content. The advertisers create opportunities (”opps”) that describe the content they are looking for (e.g. feedback, reviews, buzz, creative, video). The bloggers (sometimes referred to as “Posties”) then choose opportunities in their area of interest.

Once the blogger has written a blog post or posted a video that matches the requirements, PayPerPost then reviews the post against its requirements (e.g. topic, tone, length) and PPP terms of service (e.g. disclosure required, no adult content), and handles payment.

Bidvertiser is basically a CPC ad network. It has a low payout of $10 which gives it a great advantage over other services, like for example Google Adsense. This mean you can choose to receive payment once you accumulate only $10. This may not sound exciting to big publishers, but for small publishers who have just started out, it maybe an attractive feature. They offer a Free $20 in clicks for advertisers too. 10- Adbrite

Adbrite is an advertising CPC service, similar to Adsense, that enables people who visit your site to purchase ads directly on your site. You decide which ad products to offer and what to charge for them. You fill in your profile along with all info you want the advertisers to see, and then you’re set. AdBrite then serves your ads, bills your advertisers, and sends you a monthly check.

11- Amazon

Amazon is one of the largest online stores all over the web. Amazon has an affiliate program named Amazon Associates. Their program allows you to place links on your websites/blog to the Amazon homepage or to specific products. You get a commission for each sale generated from your ref link. Amazon was one of the first online businesses to set up an affiliate marketing program. AStore is a new affiliate product that allows you to embedded a subset of Amazon products within, or linked to from, another website.

Amazon also has a wide range of ads formats to choose from. These include all sorts of ads, from the simple links, banners … going through the contextual ads in posts, just like Kontera Network, along with slideshows, widgets, product clouds, products reviews….etc.
